Following York House, Courtney attended the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where she majored in Textile Design and minored in Literary Arts, pursuing a knitwear internship at DKNY in New York in 2012. After graduating with her BFA the following year, she moved to the UK to work for the luxury womenswear designer Mary Katrantzou in London, known for her distinctive prints and elaborate textiles. She ended up in production and raw materials buying, working with vendors and factories from across Europe, China, and India.
After two years in London, she returned to Vancouver in late 2015 and began working in product development and sample coordination for the lululemon lab, the concept/innovation space for lululemon. She recently shifted roles and joined the design team and is looking forward to developing her creative skills within the realm of functional activewear.
